Hello!

Hello dear followers!
It has been a long long time since my last post. I know.
There has been mudslides because of the heavy rains in the north of the country and thousand of people have been affected. They have lost everything!!
Hopefully people have reacted and made donations. But still...many have lost their home...what would they do??

Anyway, changing the subject the weather is still hot for this time of the year.

Someone very dear to me is expecting twins for May. I wish I could be with her. Double joy!

Time to make lunch.

This is a picture of the Palacio de Justicia in Lima downtown. It was a nice sunny day to meet a friend, a very talented jeweller, "Laloca".

Signing out, lunch is waiting....

TGIF!!!

Yes! Friday!!
I could sleep well, thank goodness! This sleeping problem is driving me crazy! I swear...
Well, today it's not a lovely day, it is semi sunny, the sun is very shy to show itself. What can we do!
Yesterday I had another migraine, felt bad ALL day, almost did not eat. My lunch was a banana.
Anyways, a friend came, she designs shoes. Very confortable and affordable shoes. So, we did what we called a "canje", sorry I don't remember the word in english.
She chosed 2 pairs of earrings and in exchange I chosed a pair of shoes.

These are the shoes.

Finally I found comfy shoes and  affordable!! How cool can that be? And for two pair of earrings! Of the same price of course.
So I am happy with my new shoes and my new friend is happy with the earrings. :-)

It is a good friday indeed. I feel better and my lunch will be yummy.

Thanks for reading this!

Sunny Día de los Muertos

It's holiday this tuesday, and lucky me I woke up before 5 am. Yeah. How fun, I'm starving, my delivery is not coming, I have a headache, I feel tired, but did some laundry. I'm gonna sleep in clean fresh smelling sheets...I love that!
Aparently spring is starting to show. We have sunny days, not everyday but that's a start.
The figue tree is green again.
Flowers blossom.

And I am keeping finding four leave clovers!

I hope they bring me luck!

That's all folks, just wanted to share this.

See you around!

Winter is coming

It is winter in Perú. It is cold. Sometimes we are lucky and the sun comes out to say hello. Lima's sky is grey, very depressing. We don't have "proper" rain here in Lima; I can't tell if it is a blessing or a course because there is a lot of dirt coming from the mountains and hills.
You clean one day and two days after it's full of dust. And forget about the laundry! You must wait days for it to get dry! Sadly, our drying machine is old, still working but for only 15mn or it will cause a shortcut.

But there are positive sides. Like staying in your bed with your café con leche watching tv because it's freezing and the feather duvet makes you warm.

When it's sunny, my dad and I seat at the terrace and have some drinks and snacks before lunch. We always pour water for the birds who are the habitués (?) and left them some food. There are the wild yellow canaries, the're a couple. The blue ones, another couple, the "chivillos" or black birds who sing beautifully, the "cuculíes" or palomas, dove I think it's the name in english. The little birds who love to take a bath in the water. It's so funny to see them bathe! There's also the hummingbirds and the "petirrojo", a red bird.
As I am not a bird expert, I will show you pictures of the little beauties we see while relaxing in the terrace.

This is the one we call "petirrojo"

This one is similar to the blue birds we see, although this one I find it smaller.

The yellow one.

I'm going to make me a cup of tea because I'm freezing.

Thank you for taking the time to read this :-)

No more!

No more therapy for my arm!
Last week I went to a check up with the traumatologist and she said I'm fine! I was so happy because I was getting tired going three times per week to the physiotherapy.
My elbow is not a 100% recovered but it's fully functionnal and I can't ask for more.
I feel great, I just need to do make my  muscles more strong.

Changing the subject, I must go to France in june because I have an anniversary paty of my oncles and then I have a wedding in Paris. God, how much I miss France! And my relatives! We are gonna have loads of fun! My sister wants me to make her wedding rings. It has been a long long time since I sat on my bench and made jewelry! I just hope she´s happy with my work.

That is all for now.
See ya!

It's been a long time

I know I know I know!! I can't remember when was the last time I posted something!

To begin with, last year, in december, I had a little accident while my trip to Chile. With my family we went to see the "Lagos del Sur", in the south. Going out of the hotel looking for a restaurant to have lunch, I got distracted and tripped and fell. My left hand landed first, then I don't know what happened, I just remember seeing my lower arm in a position you could never imagine. And then there was blood. My dad was screaming "Oh my god Vivi what happened!!!!" and my younger sister started giving orders and sat by my left side. "You: call an ambulance!" and etc.
The firefighters came and had to cut my favourite "Chompa" (jacket I think), they put a bandage in the wound and then as the ambulance didn't come at all (it was sunday) my sister and her friend took me to closest clinic.
I was in shock, I had no clue what happened to me, I was kind of numb, no idea what was happening.
Well, they took me some X rays and the elbow was out of his place. As I fell down the bone opened the flesh and that was why I was bleeding. My dad thought an artery was compromised.
The traumatologist came, he said he was going to operate the arm to fix the elbow. The thing was not that easy. The bone had tear down my muscle and tendons (?) and the doctor had to put me a titanium thing to hold back together.
The first month with cast was terrible. I felt aweful, depressed because I couldn't do much. I had to wash my teeth with my right hand. By the way, I'm a lefty.
Little by little I regain more movement on the left arm. I had to go to physical therapy, and I'm still going. Thank god I'm sooooooo much better now, the therapies worked, but I'm not a 100% well.
Maybe I need more therapy....who knows.

And that's what I've been doing and why I was away from the computer.

So long!

Vivi.
